Fencing Tip : Don't make your concrete too hard for fence posts! A strong wet mix can be a nightmare to break out when replacing posts. A damp mix of 8 to 1 ratio is ample for most situations. If you are using wooden posts, this can prelong the life by giving a slightly porus effect. Ram all 4 sides of the post to ensure there are no major cavities. Make sure the last 6'' before ground level are rammed with soil, not concrete. |
